CER-TEC to Offer DBi’s Digital Video and Automated Control Products
Gainesville, FL – October 11, 2016. Digital Broadcast, Inc. (DBi), specialists in acquisition, ingest, playout, archiving, and compliance monitoring has appointed CER-TEC as its exclusive sales agent for New York City, New England and New York State. All customers and accounts are included in this comprehensive agreement.
DBi serves a variety of customers including major groups, religious and cable networks, independent TV stations and commercial accounts and the company has gained experience and expertise in both baseband and IP end-to-end playout solutions. As part of a complete system, DBi provides ingest, transcoding and full automation with interfaces to stand-alone devices and traffic systems, plus compliance monitoring. As one of the first providers of full IP systems, DBi has extensive involvement in designing an IP operations model that works in a “real world” situation.

DBi is expanding outside traditional broadcast with its MediaVault archival system which can be facility or cloud-based and has an easy-to-operate interface that enables users to store, review, and recall any video clips or programs with associated metadata in both low or hi-res from any authorized location. The system includes internal disc storage which may be expanded. Near-line and off-line storage may be any format including NAS, SAN, Blu-Ray, LTO or any other medium. Additionally the system interfaces with almost any NLE or news system.
Additional stand-alone products include DBi’s Conform Engine for transcoding, MediaFire Ingest Gateway for multi-channel acquisition with automated schedule record and input trimming and MediaFire Server for either baseband or IP playout with full automation. In addition, DBi’s NewsBank enables direct MOS interface to AVID, ENPS, Octopus, and other NRCS systems for automated news playout. The Media VeriFire verification system monitors, provides warnings, records the station’s aired material and provides FCC compliance monitoring.
